Microsoft. Spyware king?

Call this a conspiracy, but do you think that microsoft could hire 3rd party programs to hijack your computer and record your statistics? Because how far would the biggest computer company in the world go to stay on top? It's hard to believe they just predict what we would want, and they fiddle their thumbs and just support us... What do you think?

They don't need 3rd party apps, 20+ Windows Vista features and services harvest user data for Microsoft.

Data collection an usage is hardly a ''wacky'' non-issue. it is a ever increasing point of contention between privacy advocates and onlines service (Goggle, Yahoo, etc) and software makers.

Here put on your tinfoil hat and read this;

Spyware King Indeed, and all tucked away nice and legal somewhere between the lines of a fifteen page EULA, you must accept to use the software.

Actually, I doubt this would happen, since Microsoft is the only OS maker in the world that makes a general purpose OS for public use that can be easily configured to be immune to all malware.

Actually, 2k, XP, and Vista can all be 100% immune without installing a single program...
I think you have just started another ''hate Microsoft'' rumor. this is all it takes to get some troll or flamer to roll out the ''dirty old Microsoft'' crap. Just how far do you think Microsoft has to go to remain the ''biggest computer company in the world?'' They sell 90% of the world's computer operating systems, and have done so consistently for years. Why on earth would they need to come up with the wacky stuff you proposed? I think you need to find another gripe.
