1. Right-click on an empty area on any slide and select ''Background''.

2. There should be a drop-down box (probably empty) in the ''Background Fill'' section. Drop the box and select ''Fill Effects''.

3. Select the ''Picture'' tab and click on Select Picture. Find the picture that you want and click ''Insert''.

4. Click OK.

5. Click Apply to All to put this background on all slides.

6. Add your text and insert slides as needed.

Good luck!

Hi,

Thom and TheHumbleOne are both on the right track.

In PowerPoint 2001 use control-click if your mouse does not have right-click.

Use View %26gt; Master %26gt; Slide Master to format the background of the master slide, which will then be the default for all the slides of the presentation.

First, open a new PPT file. Select a style.

For any changes you want made on every slide, put them on the Master.

PPT lays the whole thing out for you.
